East Cornwall Carne Beach

Carne Beach tucked away on the Roseland Peninsula and faces south. At low tide this is a nice sand and shale beach with rocks on both sides and Nare Head rising  above the beach. Carne beach is a dog friendly beach all year although note dogs must be kept on a lead on the beach in the summer months. South East Cornwall.

Constantine Bay Beach

Constantine Bay Beach over on the North side of Cornwall is a beautiful area with long curve of golden sands,  cracking rock pools and is very popular with surfers , all year round. The Bay lies about 3-4 miles out of Padstow in the direction of Newquay and is lifeguarded only really in the summer months. There are toilets available  (unsure of seasonal and daily opening times) and a great little shop in Constantine Bay village itself can be found. Constantine Bay is a dog friendly beach in Cornwall all year and there are NO seasonal dog restrictions. If you would like a walk you can access the Coast Path for some amazing views. There is some parking at Constantine although not very much, its very small and only room for around 12 cars or so- an alternative is to park at the much bigger Treyarnon Bay and walk along the Coast Path to Constantine Beach about a 20 minute walk which is also a breathtaking view.

Coombe Havern Cove

The attractive Coombe Haven Beach is a small National Trust cove of sand, shale and rocks backed by rather steep cliffs. Its a beautiful although not very accessible spot, you have to walk about 20 minutes through a steep wooded valley { not for the unstable walker }. Coombe Haven is a dog friendly beach all year. The beach is in the St Austell area near to Fowey .

Crantock Beach

Crantock Beach is a beautiful large and long sandy beach in North Cornwall which is popular with  holiday makers and local families,  you will often find surfers and bodyboarders here. At low tide there are plenty of rock pools filled with sea life to investigate. The general facilities are good with toilets, a cafe and hire facilities and two car parks which are good sized. Access to the beach is through steep dunes and can be difficult particularly for push chairs. A dog friendly beach all year. Take care of the river at low tide as it can be dangerous!

Check out Daymer Bay Beach

Daymer Bay Beach is a super long stretch of sand at the head of the Camel Estuary opposite Padstow close to Rock. This beach slopes gently to the sea and is a super dog friendly beach all year and very popular. The Estuary is tidal and so you need to visit here at a reasonably low tide, take care not to get caught out by the tides .  you will find that Sand dunes back the beach and it is usually a little quieter here than nearby Rock and Polzeath.. If you climb the hill behind the beach check out the fantastic views. The Doom Bar is a large sand bank to the side of Daymer Bay and is a notorious hazard to shipping so take extra care if your on the water in any craft!
